• Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

Admission period: October - January (Once in a year) (Central admission)

Admission Requirements: The applicants having HSC or equivalent degree will be eligible for admission into this program. Other Semesters and conditions are set or revised periodically by the appropriate authority.

• Master of Science in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

Admission period: January - March (Once in a year) (Departmental admission)

Admission Requirements: Applicants holding a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or a related discipline, with a minimum CGPA of 2.5, shall be eligible to sit for the admission test for this program. Other semester-related criteria and conditions are determined or revised periodically by the appropriate authority.

Mode of Study: Three independent modes of study are available for the M.S. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology:

a. M.S. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Coursework-based) (1 year)

b. M.S. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Mixed Mode) (1.5 years)

c. M.S. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Research-based) (2 years)

• M.Phill - (Discontinued from 2025)

• Ph.D. - Central admission (Once in a year)
