On November 1, 2025, the newly appointed Chairman of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEBT) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Prof. Dr. A.M. Swaraz, convened a unique meeting exclusively with students of the department. The session, held without faculty presence, focused on open dialogue about the challenges students face, the gap between their aspirations and current realities, and obstacles within the department. Dr. Swaraz emphasized that listening directly to students is essential for shaping a supportive academic environment and aligning departmental goals with student ambitions.
