Forensic Biotechnology Laboratory

The newly established Forensic Laboratory at the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEBT), JUST, is dedicated to hands-on training in human identification through molecular techniques. Designed for academic and practical engagement, this lab enables students to analyze forensic samples using DNA-based methods.

Currently equipped with a PCR machine and gel electrophoresis system, the lab provides foundational tools for genetic profiling. Additional advanced instruments are expected to arrive soon, expanding its capabilities for forensic analysis.

In the future, this facility aims to collaborate with external agencies to support individual identification from forensic evidence, contributing to justice and research through molecular biotechnology.
